INVITATION – Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TO DO) – "Are you a designer that wants to participate in the 2nd edition?"

From Deborah Wang, Creative Director for the Toronto Design Offsite Festival:

“The Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TO DO) is an annual festival that celebrates the unique diversity of Canada’s energetic design scene. TO DO provides exposure for the country’s most promising designers and introduces the public to the practice of design with events featuring great thinkers, practitioners and educators. Overlapping dates with the Interior Design Show, the not-for-profit festival attracts the international community to Toronto for one design-filled week of discovery every January.

TO DO pursues its mandate by being a platform for the exhibition and engagement of independent Canadian design in Toronto. Alongside the week-long annual festival, TO DO disseminates information on design through digital channels; hosts public events and exhibitions that facilitate discussion and understanding; and partners with professional design associations, media, and organizations. TO DO welcomes all design disciplines, including industrial, product, interior, architecture, graphic, textile, web and interaction, as well as multidisciplinary practices and contemporary art.

Join TO DO to become a part of an exciting network of creative people, exhibitions, events, and a captive audience of designers and design-lovers. Last year we had 65 different public events and exhibitions, from workshops to experimental installations to prototypes to design parties and curated exhibitions, including work by over 450 designers and artists. This year, Festival week happens January 19-25, 2015.”

Deadline for registration is October 1st 2014.
